A Little Inspiration
Let’s talk greenery!
Bring vintage displays to life with greenery, from simple stems and trailing plants to creative planters and realistic faux favorites.
The more we’ve decorated our home and our Whatnot shows, the more we’ve realized just how much of a difference greenery makes. It has a way of bringing vintage displays to life and making a space feel finished.
A little greenery makes a big difference
One little plant or a few simple stems can completely change the look of a shelf, brighten an empty corner or add the perfect balance to a display. Greenery also helps break up all the hard surfaces that vintage decorating naturally has. Wood, brass, pottery and glass all pair beautifully with something soft and organic, creating a sense of balance.

Real, dried or faux—make it your own
Whether you love real plants, dried stems or realistic faux greenery, there are so many ways to make it your own. Our personal favorite for displays is faux greenery that looks as realistic as possible. We also have several real plants scattered throughout our home. We love the look of fresh plants, but high-quality faux greenery works best in Whatnot shows and vintage booth displays, giving us that same natural feel without the maintenance!
These aren’t our photos, but we wanted to share a variety of beautiful ideas to show just how versatile greenery can be. No matter your decorating style, it’s one of those details that pairs effortlessly with vintage and never goes out of style.
