Before there was a Whatnot room, there was this green chandelier. 💚

We found it on Facebook Marketplace in Jacksonville, Florida over three years ago while we were visiting my parents. We had just moved into the first house we built, and before Whatnot, we had opened a vintage booth. We were actually searching Marketplace for a light fixture to hang in our booth when this popped up.

A change of plans

That plan changed pretty quickly! We loved it so much that we decided it wasn’t going anywhere near the booth. We brought it home and it became the very first thing we hung in our new house.

From team beige to lime green

At the time, this was a pretty bold choice. Our house was nowhere near as colorful as it is today, so hanging a huge lime green chandelier was definitely a big deal. We used to be team beige until we unlocked our love for all things vintage. Looking at our house now, it makes perfect sense.

A House of Coop favorite

Three years later, it hangs in our Whatnot room and has become one of the most recognizable pieces in House of Coop. We get asked about this chandelier ALL the time, and as much as you’ve seen it behind us on camera, it’s even more beautiful in person. It’s still one of our favorite Facebook Marketplace finds ever.
